Google says GMail is real

Hmmm… Google is still saying that Gmail (1gb free email accounts) is not a hoax: “Google representatives later said that an online job listing for a position at a lunar station was a prank, but that the e-mail service is a legitimate project.” I still don’t see how this could be real. How can Google afford to give away one gigabyte accounts? It just doesn’t seem logistically possible. Color me still not convinced.
