Apple announces the coolest digital music service available now (aside from eMusic.com, of course). The quick facts:
- 99 cents per song
- No subscription feels
- Free 30-second streaming samples
- Music licensed from all five major record companies
- Windows version available by December
This is the type of service that the record companies should’ve allowed four years ago. Apple is going to make a ton of money from this, and a percentage of that revenue is going to be fed right back to the music companies. It’s a win-win situation for Apple, the RIAA, and consumers!
