As anyone who has read my journal in the past knows, I have had a few incidents where one of my sick kiddos puked on me. I’ve learned from those experiences, and I’m quite a bit faster nowadays.
All of our kiddos are sick this week. Z ended up being the worst, coming down with a couple of raging ear infections and a horrible fever. We were finally getting her to eat last night – one of the first times for a few meals – and she suddenly stopped, cried and said “my tummy hurts!”
I knew what was going to happen, so I turned Z’s chair away from me and got out of her line of fire. I actually had a few seconds to spare.
