US forces overwhelmed

I don’t want to be an alarmist, but things are not going well for our forces in Iraq. The problem this time is in Fallujah, where American forces are trying to crush insurgents. A massive crowd of Sunni and Shiite Muslims forced their way past American troops, bringing food and supplies into Fallujah.

This is alarming in at least two different ways: first, it means that our forces are stretched far too thin. Second, it means that the two main factions in Iraq are putting aside their differences and uniting against a common enemy: us! This could turn into an even worse situation.
