Can’t we all just get along? (II)

Those wacky Democrats! This time around, Howard Dean is fighting back, accusing General Clark of being a Republican. Dean’s best line: “‘I do not think somebody ought to run in the Democratic primary and then make the general election the Republican primary between two Republicans.'”

Apparently the General has voted for Republicans in the past (including Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan) and has been attending Republican fund raisers in the distant past.

Of course, Dick Gephardt’s group had to get in a shot: “‘We’re not going to fix the jobs issue in America by having one candidate with the wrong record on jobs going after another candidate with the wrong record on jobs,’ said Gephardt campaign manager Steve Murphy.”
