Finally, the Supreme Court makes a ruling to be lauded. The Supremes overturning sodomy laws is the best ruling to come from this Supreme Court in a while. Neither states nor the federal government should have the right to prohibit consentual sexual activities between consenting adults. The Sodomy or Blue laws were horrible invasions of privacy. It is great to see that this Supreme Court has finally ruled on the side of citizen’s privacy.
The only thing I don’t like about this decision is the huge number of small-minded individuals that will be up in arms about this decision. For the next few weeks, we will be hearing homophobic idiots yelling about how the moral fiber of the country will be undermined because of this decision. Why people become angry about things they don’t understand makes me sad. I pity the people who feel this way.
