Atlanta’s Gold Club reopens as church

By | February 2, 2004

Sometimes these items almost write themselves: Atlanta’s infamous Gold Club – the strip club famous for celebrities (Terrell Davis, Eric Bischoff) stopping by and picking up prostitutes – is now a church! A local reverend took out a lease on the property, cleaned it up, and reopened it as a God Club.

“The Rev. Dan Garrett says he even expects some former patrons and workers at the Gold Club to join his new congregation. Garrett says he’s met a few of them recently, and some have even stopped in to help clean out their old haunts.” I am guessing that there are more than a few church members who are very familiar with the location.
